I made an important announcement!

On November 3rd I announced the winner of the Mock Election at my school. My school was having an Mock Election because of the real election was going on. My speech therapist is always tring to make me make annoucements at the school. She asked me If I wanted to announce the winner of the Mock Election at my school. At first I wasn't sure if i should do it. But when I thought about it I decided to do it. When I made the announcement I was realy scared I would stutter. Then I said who won and I did not stutter once! The winner of our Mock Election was thankfuly Barack Obama!!!!!!

That sounds scary. How many people in your school? What made you decide to try it?

It was not that scary. I made the anouncement over a PA system and no one saw me do it. There is about 2000 people in my school. I made the anouncement because I thought it would be cool.

Do you have any advice for other stutterers who might not be willing to try something like making an announcement over the pa system?

I have some advise for people who want to do something like what I did. You should go for it. When you are talking use what your speech teacher taught you.
