Is there a book about stuttering you would recommend to others?

Mastering Blocking And Stuttering: A Cognitive Approach to Achieving Fluency (by Bob G. Bodenhamer) is by far my favourite book and has reshaped a lot of my beliefs regarding stuttering. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for answers and step-by-step instructions on what to do about it. A top read.

Fantastic book. Will it give you fluency?.. i'm a little dubious that you can achieve it without a support network and someone frequently giving you a little prod and correcting your techniques.

However the book contains a lot of very very good advice. Advice, which if taken seriously, will make a big improvement to your outlook on life and will help you deal with your blocks as well.

I would recommend it to anyone that stutters.

I would really recommend you get this book (http://offto.net/stopstuttering/). I was really depressed when stuttering kept me away from my career, so I tried it and now I can lead presentations and talk almost perfectly. There are many helpful tips and guidelines, which you must follow and I am certain they will work for you as they worked for me. I still need to practice a little and I believe I will have gotten rid of my stutter once and for all :D
