Hey, my name is Jason. I stumbled onto this site when I was googling stutteringforums. I am one of those people who doesn't use the address bar in the browser, i just google everything. Anyway I am getting fed up with stutteringforums.com lack of leadership and everything. This site caught my eye. I thought I would stop by hopefully help give you a little push to get the ball rolling.

About me, I'm 21, I dropped out of school when I was 17 due to my stammer and my general hatred of group speaking. I felt far less stressed after leaving school. I then enrolled on a few courses and about 18 month's ago I stumbled onto Web Design. Finished my web design course and I am currently freelancing till I find a full time position that catches my eye.

Group speaking is no longer a problem. :)

With stuttering, my worst stuttering is in High stress situations where I lose my composure, rush myself and thus forget my stuttering management techniques. Apart from that I think I am generally OK.

I recently did an intensive speech course in London and I got myself desensitised and the such. Since doing this course my fluency perhaps hasn't massively improved. However the negative thoughts about stuttering are gone and now there are hardly any situations which I back out of due to the nervous of speaking.

I look forwards to discussing stuttering more on this forum.

Sounds like me: web designer and just recently began to feel more positively about my stuttering. I feel a lot more relaxed when I am open about it to whoever I am speaking to.

Well hey there I new here too!:)

It looks like we have the same interest! Am interested in web design too. I am not sure if I want to make it my career yet but, its someting I keep as a choice. So its nice to me some one in the field now I know who to ask questions to.;)

NE wayz I am still in high school and I know exactly how you must have felt like back then when you had to present a project to the class. The struggle to get out a word while everyone murmurs, giggles, and squirms is the most humilating feeling there is. :(
