I was wondering if anyone was interested in setting up a weekly chat group on skype? We can create a schedule of things to talk about then just chat. I think it would be good to talk to other people that stuttered about how you are doing, any fears and troubles you are having. Any goals which you are trying to set in your speech and how you plan to achieve them.

If anyone is interested in this, it would work best for me during the week as I am often away at the weekends.

The first talk should be an introduction. Who you are, what you do, what you done in the past to help your speech etc.

Basically a get to know each other discussion.

If your interested post your time zone and when you are available. If you want to suggest any changes to what we talk about feel free.

Hi Jason,
I like the way you think. Are you talking about voice conversations?? As an addition, maybe we can also set up an online chat (typed) for people that are less confident on the phone. I would hate to miss out on their input due to the initial fear of the phone. Also, the scripts could possibly be posted in a Fluency Quest blog so others can catch up on the discussions if they were unable to attend. What do you think??

Skype has voice/video and text chat.

This allows people to participate in anyway they wish. I personally am a voice man. I spend all day typing designing websites and I like the freedom that voice gives me from my keyboard.

I think to begin with it might be best to post a summery of what is going on. If half are talking and half are typing then it would be best to record and post both. However in doing that the privacy of the conversations are left open to anyone who wants to download them.

As a result a summery of the topics and the general jist of what was being said might be better.
