Hi all!
Just joined up last night and thought I'd write a bit of an intro.

I've stuttered all my life and felt like it was my fault. Not a good feeling and I felt I was the only one because I had never met another stutterer. Only recently-- because of Facebook and forums like this-- have I become more relaxed, accepting and open about my stuttering and it feels great! I really wish I knew about this years ago.

In fact, I even launched my own podcast about stuttering! I'm the only person I know who stutters so I'm hoping to meet fellow stutterers through my podcast (and here). But most importantly, to hear them speak. What changed my perception about my stuttering was hearing other people stutter (on other podcasts). So I hope to encourage the same on mine podcast-- with audio comments! The site is stutteringiscool.com (http://www.stutteringiscool.com). I hope you don't mind my shameless plug :)

By day I am a web designer and social media strategist and on the side I do freelance illustration. Despite my age, I enjoy collecting (read: watching) cartoons :) Hence, the illustration stuff. You'll find more about me in my profile.

What I like about these forums is I can help people who stutter like me :)

Hi Danny and welcome to Fluency Quest. It sounds like your at some interesting crossroads finally coming to be more accepting about your stutter and also using your knowledge of what its like to live with a stutter to allow you to help and certainly relate to so many others in the same situation. I wish you all the best with your site. I have had big plans from the start for adding media functionality to FQ so am very interested in your progress. You never know, we could possibly even join forces further down the track. After all, it seems we are all after the same thing. If you like what you see here, feel free to add a link to us on your site. I look forward to chatting more soon.

Sure! Let's get started-- call up my show (http://www.stutteringiscool.com/about/) and leave a message ;) I've been meaning to add a link to this forum but kept forgetting-- will do so now since you just reminded me!
