I am glad that I stumbled upon this site. I like that I can blog my feelings and also read about other people with the same problem that I have.
I have stuttered since I started talking, I have always felt embarrassed about it. Now, that I am 25 I am beginning to accept it more, but I still resent it very much.
I am currently in college and majoring in Social Work. As a stutter this major is very challenging because you have to give a lot o speeches in class. I know I have made the right choice in choosing this major, for the fact that I love it. But at the same time, I think I just should have chosen something that does not require a lot of talking.
I just want to help, and am hoping that my speech impediment does not get on my way of getting hired for jobs and counseling.
