Stephen Hill is an ex-stammerer and knows how distressing a problem stuttering/stammering can be. He offers tuition on a one to one basis, a five day course, four hours per day. He also offers free introductory meetings plus a free after service is available to ensure continued fluency.

A guy I met on a speech course I recently did said he gave this ago and brought the DVD. However he didn't find it very helpful.

A friend from the the last speech course I attended brought the guys DVD and said that he found it unhelpful and was generally unimpressed. I don't anyone who has actually sat the course though.

I decided to purchase Steve's DVD for GBP 55.00 (which comes with an e-book in PDF format about speech rules and tips) but I really couldn't benefit from it. I read the e-book several times and listened to the DVD twice but I couldn't find any real useful hint on eliminating stuttering except to open your mouth little wider than usual when speaking!

Well, I admit that this tip was slightly helpful for me but the whole package didn't improve my speech or eliminate my unpredictable speech blocks!

I agree with the other people that this was a waste of time and money. I was planning to take Steve Hill's course for stammers in Birmingham - www.stammering-stuttering.co.uk, but had decided to cancel it after reading the feedback on www.stuttering-cured.com on a similar course.

According to the owner of this site, he had used the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) (http://www.emofree.com/a/?3944) to overcome his stammering and improve his fluency!

However, I'm still searching for a proven, lasting remedy to solve my blocking problem and lazy tongue syndrome, after I have tried a bunch of other solutions/packages and read several books with no success :(

Thanks to all.

A few years ago, I took Steve's e-mail course. I recycled the paper it was printed on. I also had taken most courses that are available online. I do not want to "slid mud" at the authors of those courses. However, I have to say that I did not use most of those courses for more than two months.

Out of all courses, the most decent was Natural Therapy for Stuttering (http://www.naturaltherapyforstuttering.com). To this day, I use some of that course's information. The course is confusing. If you do not have any background in homeopathic medicine, you might not know what to do next. Suggested routine is added on the back, but still is confusing.

However, the course is based on a principle that if you combine alternative medicine therapies together, you will get results. You definitely do become a lot more fluent than you were before, especially when your anxiety is greatly reduced (probably indirect effect on fluency?)

I also tested electronic devices. I would not pay a dime for them!
